This Guyanese, Toronto -born songstress is simply soothing while sexy(HEAT),innocent but so dangerous (SOME DUMB WHORE).
Her sound is congruent to the lovechild of Corrine Bailey Rae and Nelly Furtado.

If everyone could see

and feigned glee
the way I did,
they'd see self-hatred eroding your teeth.
They would see that everything you say and do
has the subtext to exalt yourself
by trying to bring another down...
Being self-righteous is one big insecure gesture, FYI.

In reality,
your happy little world
is a skeleton
of foolish men, women, and illegitimate children
much like yourself
seeking over-achievement
to rid themselves
of the shame
of their nasty, scandalous origins.
With that being said,
you can take your "morals"
and fuck yourself further into oblivion.



So go on,
prance around
like the happy little girl
society wants you to be.

I'll be the one keeping it 100%,
be that kicking and screaming
at the stupidity that surrounds me,
or choosing NOT to edit the pimples out of my photographs.

slowly, but surely,

HARMLESS and oft ignored.


Solitude is relative
when you find that you're lonesome among thousands

I was watching "LADY SINGS THE BLUES" the other night.

So one of my classes has a blogging component worth 40% of my grade...
This semester cant get any better than this. (well, besides the fact that I have a 5 day weekend starting tomorrow!!)

Hellooooo class!

Before we get underway with the blogs for the assigned readings, I was just curious to know who has blogging experience?
I've been a blogger (livejournal, geocities, myspace, hi5, tagged, googlepages, blogspot, and most recently tumblr, etc) since I was 14 or 15.
Also, do you folks think photos in the blogs are appropriate?

I'm back at school now
in a new room

and it just makes me carefree.

Ive got food, shelter, clothes on my back.
anything more is simply a treat.

Its been so long since iv been moved this way...
maybe the romance i'm starving for will return.
