it's not so much a "pushing away"... it's more of a "retracting"

I take back all the truths because the lies seem to make more sense.

Lying is so much easier because I can keep it all together in neat files with the most appropriate vocabulary to achieve the desired outcome. (a terrible but true fact)

Telling the truth is hard because it exposes me, there is little or no pre-calculation... and if I'm not heard or worse, misconstrued, I sink even further than it would have "set me free".

When I open up and tell you how I really feel deep down in the depths of the ocean where my heart sleeps, you find a way to make it all about you and how you feel and what you have to say.

For once, I'd like to hear, "ok, I understand" instead of constantly being misinterpreted into something totally not what I said.
